Wow, so last year was a big one. There was new houses, jobs, I got married. New nephew came along. There was frustration and joy.
Project wise: My arduino and eventghost home automation took great form and operating nicely with geofencing boundaries for auto alarming and disarming. Eventghost and ispy worked well together to drive 5 ip camera's for day and night vision recording. And the best part is that it is all unclip from the walls and take to the new house and turn on. Whole project cost less than $50 plus cameras.
I buily a solar water heater for our spa. The results from that are simply amazing. $50 of black hose can really save $250 per quarter in electricity!
No further work on arcades just yet. Since we are moving into a larger property next month. I'll have space to finish and build that dedicated games room.
By far it has been the most defining year of my life. I've married my sole mate. I wish we met 10 years ago. So that we could have 10 more years together. Life being what it is, I'm super happy to finally get here and start a family.
Who knows what will come of 2014. New opportunities, new toys, and hopefully babies.
Have a great day. And I'll definately try to post details of projects as I go.
